Our underfloor heating systems use 17mm diameter 5 layer PE-X pipe.
The 5 layer pipe safely sandwiches the delicate EVOH oxygen barrier protecting it from all possible physical, chemical and UV damage so you can be confident that you are using the highest quality components with a proven track record.
This pipe is guaranteed for 50 years for ultimate peace of mind.
Insulation Requirements:
Joist Floors: Should satisfy building regulations (min 65mm) thick high density flooring grade, extruded polystyrene fitted under timber sub floor.
Concrete Floors: Should satisfy building regulations (min 65mm) thick high density flooring grade, extruded polystyrene.
Floor Coverings:
Carpet and underlay should not exceed 1.5 tog.
Hardwood floated over screed should be a maximum of 22mm thick.
These recommendations are to satisfy the floor heating requirements only. Please consult your architect with regards to requirements for building regulations.
